The family of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad continues to live in Moscow, he was spotted in a restaurant on the 62nd floor in Moscow City. This was reported by The New York Times on December 22.

According to the newspaper, one day a Syrian emigrant met Assad for dinner at the Sixty restaurant, located on the 62nd floor of the Federation Tower. The ex-president of Syria was one of the VIP guests.

Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever joked on December 19 that he needed to go to his dacha in St. Petersburg. According to him, actor Gerard Depardieu is next door to him, and Assad lives across the street. At the end of his joke, De Wever added that he might be able to become mayor.
