The deputy military prosecutor of the St. Petersburg garrison has been arrested

Ilshat Kupkenov, Deputy military prosecutor of the St. Petersburg garrison, was arrested by the 235th garrison military court in a bribery case. This was reported to Izvestia on December 22 by the court's press service.

He is charged with abuse of office out of self-interest, committed by a group of persons with serious consequences, as well as receiving a particularly large bribe.

It is specified that Kupkenov will remain in custody until February 17, 2026. The defendant faces up to 15 years in prison.
