Camera, motor: engine spare parts prices fell by 11%
In November 2025, the cost of a part of auto parts dropped by 5-11%, depending on the category, analysts told Izvestia. Engines and parts for them have fallen the most. Most often they buy new spare parts from Hyundai, Sat and VAG. Next year, the situation may change, and for a number of automotive components, on the contrary, the cost will increase by an average of 10-15%, and in some segments — by 20-25%. The situation has developed against the background of an increase in the number of offers, experts say. About what else the fall is related to and what to expect next, see the Izvestia article.
Which parts have seen prices drop
Prices for new spare parts have generally decreased by 4% over the past month, sales aggregators and services told Izvestia. The most noticeable decrease was shown by engines and parts for them — they became 11% cheaper, Avito added. The average cost of a spare part was 23 thousand rubles.
New brake system components became 5% cheaper — they were bought on average for 10 thousand rubles. The cost of transmission and drive components decreased by 4%, to 21 thousand rubles. Fuel and exhaust system parts became 3% cheaper — they cost motorists an average of 9 thousand rubles. The price also fell by 2% in the segment of steering elements, their average cost is 10 thousand rubles.
"Over the past month, against the background of an increase in the number of offers and the number of sellers, we have seen a slight decrease in prices," said the director of the Spare Parts and Car Services business at Avito.
In 2025, moderate price stabilization continued after several years of high volatility, the Avtorus Group of Companies noted.
"In November and December 2025, there is a generally restrained trend," they said. — The average price increase in the market was about 0.5–1.5% per month, which is significantly lower than the pace of the beginning of the year. The main drivers are a moderate strengthening of the ruble, stabilization of logistics chains and reduction of pressure from imported components."
Individual product groups, such as electronic components and original spare parts for premium brands, continued to grow by 2-4%.
"The trend was influenced by the emergence of a wide range of proprietary brands (STM) of large retailers and distributors, whose quality is often not inferior to popular international brands," the company emphasized. — This created healthy competition and restrained price growth in many positions. Compared to November and December last year, the annual growth was twice as high as the current figures. Thus, inflationary pressure in the auto parts market has noticeably weakened."
Despite the difficult situation in the auto parts market as a whole, their sales at Wildberries doubled in 2025, the company's press service told Izvestia.
— An important role here was played not only by the expansion of the range, but also by the growth of trust in online purchases of spare parts, for example, goods labeled "original", - said Alexander Kochanov, head of Auto Parts at Wildberries&Russ.
Which cars do they buy spare parts for?
The main demand is for spare parts for domestic brands, in addition, a large share is occupied by goods for Korean and German cars, such as Kia, Hyundai and Volkswagen Audi Gruppe (VAG), said Alexander Kochanov. The same situation applies to Chevrolet parts.
"Recently, the demand for spare parts for the most popular Chinese cars, such as Geely Coolray, Atlas, Haval Jolion and F7, has been actively growing," he added. — Most often they buy consumables: filters, brushes, lamps, pads. The top spare parts include bearings, headlights, brake discs and shock absorbers. Turnover growth in these categories is 160-250% year on year.
Avito most often buys new spare parts from Hyundai Motor Group, which also includes Kia. In second place are parts from Sat, a Russian company with production in China. Then there are spare parts from VAG, BMW and AvtoVAZ.
Body parts account for the largest share of new parts sales (25% of sales). Avtosvet is in second place (11% of sales). Engines complete the top three (10% of sales). The top 5 also includes electrical equipment (9% of sales) and suspensions (8% of sales).
Most often, consumables and parts that fail due to wear are purchased: brake pads and discs, shock absorbers, ball bearings, batteries, filters and oils, the Avtorus company reported. Consumers are increasingly choosing high-quality analogues and STM as a reasonable compromise between price and reliability.
According to the results of 11 months of 2025, Toyota, LADA, and Hyundai cars were serviced most often in car services, the international network of Fit Service car services told Izvestia. Next in frequency of arrivals: Kia, Nissan, Volkswagen, Renault, Ford, Mitsubishi, Honda.
"These cars dominate Russian roads and corporate fleets, which explains the high repair flow," they noted. — Running parts for maintenance and minor repairs of cars popular in the Russian Federation have not become cheaper. Growth in various positions by the end of November 2025 was on average 5-15%, compared with the same period last year."
Price reductions were recorded in the product categories with the largest range of analog brands. In addition, factors such as the strengthening of the ruble and the accumulation of stocks at distributors could have affected.
According to the results of 11 months of 2025, the average repair bill amounted to 11.7 thousand rubles, which is 16% higher than the same period last year. The average spending per client for the year reached 22.6 thousand rubles with an increase of 9%.
"That is, the dynamics of two key indicators has slowed down," the car service network said. — If in 2021-2024 the average receipt and ARPU increased by 20-30% annually, then in 2025 the dynamics slowed down significantly. But at the same time, the operated fleet in the country continues to age — the average age of passenger cars has exceeded 15 years. This increases the demand for the repair and replacement of components, engines, and suspension."
A source close to the market told Izvestia that in 2024-2025, popular consumables have risen in price moderately — by 15-20%, due to high competition.
"Rare and complex parts showed greater growth, in some cases doubling due to problems with logistics and supplies," he noted.
Which parts will become more expensive in 2026
The auto parts market in Russia is quite stable, although it goes through noticeable price fluctuations, said Alexey Ivanov, owner of the Alliance Trucks commercial vehicle dealership network. In 2025, according to various forecasts, the market volume may grow to 750-800 billion rubles, which is confirmed by sales growth.
"In August and September, auto parts sales on marketplaces increased by almost 100% year—on–year," he said. — The November drawdown in prices is due to two factors: an increase in market offers and the fact that large distributors are selling stocks purchased at the old prices. It turns out that the oversupply has slowed down growth a bit, but this is a temporary phenomenon.
On average, prices for most items decreased by about 11% over the year, as a result of market saturation due to parallel imports and Chinese analogues, Igor Rastorguev, a leading analyst at AMarkets, added.
— The main reason for the correction is that the market has finally emerged from the deficit phase, — the expert explained. — In the three years since the introduction of parallel imports, logistics chains have been built, and a wide range of analogues from Asia has appeared. Car owners can now choose between the original, high-quality non-original brands and budget options. This creates competition that wasn't there before.
However, rare custom—made items — bodywork, optics, electronic components - continue to rise in price. The average growth in such details reaches 20-30%, the expert noted.
"The future situation will depend on the ruble exchange rate and logistics," Igor Rastorguev believes. — On the one hand, the product range continues to expand, and delivery times are shortening. On the other hand, the risks remain: The high key rate limits distributor purchases, the cost of labeling goods is rising, and duties may rise.
According to Rossko, in the future, the market expects the next stage of price appreciation by an average of 10-15%, and in some segments — by 20-25%. At the same time, price growth will be uneven: the most technologically complex and import-dependent categories will grow faster, while segments with high competition and localization will remain relatively stable.
"The transformation of logistics and production chains, which began several years ago, continues to be the main factor in pricing," said Anton Shashkov, head of the company's product range development department. — We are observing how the market is going through the stage of adaptation.
Pads, discs, and calipers may become more expensive due to an increase in the cost of metal and friction materials, as well as consistently high demand. Most likely, shock absorbers, ball bearings, silent blocks, and steering tips will become more expensive — their high cost of high-quality production and operational loads in the Russian Federation put pressure on prices.
Headlights, taillights, starters, generators, and ignition coils can also increase significantly in price.
The main factor of the market growth in the future is the aging of cars, Alexey Ivanov added. People are in no hurry to change cars with high loan rates, but prefer to repair what they have.
— This means that the demand for spare parts will grow naturally, — said the expert. — According to the long—term forecast, by 2027 the market volume may exceed 3 trillion rubles, provided the macroeconomic situation is stable and there are no new sharp shocks.
In order not to overpay for the purchase of auto parts and repairs, it is necessary to plan the replacement of worn components in advance, said Anton Shashkov. If you plan to replace brake pads and discs or shock absorbers in 2026, consider buying high-quality analogues as early as the end of 2025. This will save up to 15-20% of the future cost.
When planning annual maintenance, it is advisable to purchase a set of consumables in advance — before the seasonal price increase.
