On December 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the ceremony of awarding the Leo Tolstoy International Peace Prize to the leaders of the CIS member states.

The laureates were awarded to the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for their great personal contribution to strengthening peace and security in the Central Asian region.
