Under the conditions of external pressure, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has increased its importance for strengthening the economic potential of its members. This was announced on December 21 by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during an expanded meeting of the association.

"Summing up the results of the implementation of strategic directions for the development of economic integration, it is safe to say that in the face of enormous external pressure on our countries, the Union has not only preserved, but also increased its importance for strengthening the economic potential of the participating states," he said.
