Orban ridiculed Callas for bellicose rhetoric against Russia
On December 20, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban ridiculed the bellicose rhetoric of the head of European diplomacy, Kai Kallas, towards Moscow.
"Of course, there are great European traditions. They have already tried to attack Russia. <...> They failed. And now, of course, Kaya Kallas will "succeed" — of course," Orban ironically declared at an anti—war rally in Szeged.
He added that if you go to the museums of St. Petersburg or Moscow, you will see not Russian paintings, but war trophies brought from Europe.
Earlier, on December 19, Glenn Diesen, a professor at the University of Southeastern Norway, criticized Kallas for discouraging countries from engaging in dialogue with Russia. According to him, if the "chief diplomat" does not use the principles of diplomacy in his work, the outcome of all events may be war.
