In the Novosibirsk region, the investigation of a criminal case against eight women and one man has been completed, who are accused of fraud in receiving payments for 664 non-existent children. This was announced on December 19 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.
"In total, false information about the birth of more than 600 children was submitted to the territorial offices of the Social Fund of Russia. The amount of payments exceeded 237 million rubles," she wrote on the Telegram channel.
Along with this, the attackers are accused of forging passports of a citizen of the Russian Federation. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs sent an indictment to the Central District Court of Novosibirsk for further consideration.
According to investigators, the accused applied to multifunctional centers and registry offices in Moscow, Samara and Nizhny Novgorod.
