The coach of the Baltika football club, Andrei Talalaev, called the dismissal of former coach Deyan Stankovich from Spartak as insanity. He made such a statement in an interview with Sport-Express on December 19.

"In my opinion, Stankovich's dismissal is insanity. Do you rate the outrage and emotionality of the coach, or the quality of the team's scoring and the consistency of the game? Stankovich is in first place in the number of wins and second in the number of points scored in Spartak this century,— Talalaev said.

Stankovich has been the head of Spartak since July 2024. In the 2024-2025 season, the team under his leadership took the fourth place in the Russian Premier League (RPL).

Deyan Stankovich resigned as head coach of Spartak Moscow football club on November 11 by agreement of the parties. The club thanked him for his work and wished him good luck in his future career.

Spartak CEO Sergey Nekrasov announced on December 9 that the club was considering, among other things, Russian specialists for the position of head coach. According to Nekrasov, adjustments continue to be made to the list. Allegedly, the deadline for the appointment of a new coach has not been set by the club.
