Melania, the wife of US President Donald Trump, is the American leader's strongest weapon in diplomatic relations with Slavic states. This was announced on December 18 by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

She's our person, she's a Slav from Slovenia," he said during a meeting of the VII All-Belarusian National Assembly (VNC).

Lukashenko suggested that Trump's wife should be actively involved in resolving political issues. In addition, he expressed confidence that the wife of the US leader can, among other things, contribute to the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
