Figure skater Adelia Petrosyan will compete in the short program of the Russian Championship – 2026 without a triple axel. This was announced on December 18 in the Telegram channel of the Russian Figure Skating Federation.

It is noted that at the same time, three other figure skaters will perform the jump at the competition.: Camilla Nelyubova, Maria Elisova and Dina Khusnutdinova.

The Russian Championship 2026 will be held in St. Petersburg from December 18 to December 21. At the tournament, Russian athletes will be able to win only four sets of awards: in women's singles, men's singles, pair skating and ice dancing.

Figure skater coach Eteri Tutberidze posted a video of Petrosyan performing the triple axel the day before. It was noted that in the current 2025/26 season, the figure skater has never performed a triple axel in competitions.
