The defendants in the criminal case of fraud with shareholders in Vladimir were arrested. This was announced on December 18 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

"Due to the violation by the defendants of the previously chosen preventive measure in the form of a subscription not to leave and proper behavior, two of them are in custody, the third is under house arrest," she wrote on the Telegram channel.

As a result of the fraudsters' actions, the amount of damage amounted to over 4 billion rubles. According to investigators, from 2017 to 2022, the defendants entered into equity agreements with citizens in the construction of apartment buildings.

It is noted that the attackers spent part of the funds received on the construction of facilities, the remaining money was spent on their own needs. It was also established that the deadlines for housing were repeatedly postponed.

The defendants were charged under Articles 159 ("Fraud") and 201 ("Abuse of authority") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

At the same time, the cost of work in the MCD may rise in price, industry experts say.

Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, instructed on November 29 to open a criminal case against one of the major Russian developers A101 in connection with the violation of the rights of shareholders in the city of Vsevolozhsk, Leningrad region. It was noted that the deadline for putting the apartments into operation was repeatedly postponed.
