President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed bilateral cooperation with Emperor Naruhito of Japan. This was announced on December 18 in the Telegram channel of the press service of the President of the Republic.
"Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Emperor Naruhito exchanged views on issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as international issues," the statement said.
The official meeting of the two leaders took place at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo. Tokayev and Naruhito noted the friendly relations between the countries. The emperor called the visit of the Kazakh president a significant event, after which he predicted bringing relations between Japan and Kazakhstan to a qualitatively new level.
On November 13, Tokayev sent a letter of thanks to Russian Leader Vladimir Putin following his state visit. He noted the special significance of the Declaration on the transition of relations between Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance. According to Tokayev, this document will improve cooperation between states in various fields.
