A new anomaly has been discovered on the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS, which changes the shape of its ray stream. This was announced on December 18 by Avi Loeb, a scientist from Harvard University.

"If the base of the ray stream has a simple natural origin from a layer of ice that sublimates under the influence of sunlight, then the proposed geometry represents a new, 14th anomaly for 3I/ATLAS in addition to the 13 anomalies listed earlier," he wrote.
