It is necessary to create a single document regulating the organization of security in all educational institutions, as well as to think about new levels of protection. This opinion was expressed by Yana Lantratova, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education, on Wednesday, December 17.

The parliamentarian noted that the issue of strengthening security in educational institutions has been raised repeatedly and much is being done in this direction.

"However, as today's tragedy has shown, there are schools where metal detectors have not yet been installed. There are also schools where they are not set up as they should be. It is clear that the metal frame does not provide one hundred percent protection from attacks, but it is one of the barriers in the path of a criminal," she said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

Lantratova called for thinking about what other levels of protection can be built, as well as creating a document common to all educational institutions regulating the organization of security in them.

According to the Izvestia source, there were no metal detectors in the educational institution. Upon learning of the incident, the teachers conducted an urgent evacuation.

Andrey Vorobyov, the governor of the Moscow Region, called for an analysis of everything that led to the tragedy at the Odintsovo school. According to him, it is necessary to make sure that what happened does not happen again.

Anatoly Vyborny, deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, noted in an interview with Izvestia that, of course, after the attack at the Odintsovo school, an assessment of the actions of the security organization employee would be given.
