A state-level emergency mode was introduced in the Odessa region due to the energy crisis

A state-level emergency situation has been introduced in the Odessa region in the south of Ukraine in the energy system. This was announced on December 17 by the head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration (OVA) Oleg Kiper.

"The emergency situation [in the region] <...> has acquired the status of a state—level emergency," the Keeper wrote on his Telegram channel.

He added that this decision was made at a meeting of the commission on technogenic and environmental safety and emergency situations in the Odessa Regional Military Administration.
