Putin pointed to the timely equipping of the army and navy with weapons and equipment

The Russian army and navy are being equipped with modern types of weapons and equipment in a timely manner due to the precise operation of the military-industrial complex (MIC). This was announced on December 17 by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the board of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"Thanks to the precise work of the defense industry, the army and navy are being equipped with modern weapons and equipment in a timely manner," he said.

Putin emphasized improving the efficiency of the defense industry, which has rapidly rebuilt production processes and is producing in-demand products in ever-increasing volumes. He also noted that the ground forces are receiving missile systems, artillery systems with high-precision weapons, ammunition, various types of drones and robotics.

According to him, the Aerospace Forces are receiving modified missiles and aircraft bombs with a guided planning and correction module capable of operating effectively in any situation. Putin thanked the specialists involved in this work, noting that their work is a real help and increases the effectiveness of the use of weapons by up to 80%.

On December 2, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian defense industry was working well. He noted that the Russian military-industrial complex has managed to increase production volumes so that it is possible not only to cover the needs of the army during a special military operation, but also to work for export.

Earlier, on November 27, Putin noted that Russia must first meet its needs in the defense industry in the context of a special operation. Aviation equipment, in particular airplanes and helicopters, is a priority export area.
