A meeting of the Organizing Committee of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026 was held in Moscow. The Forum will be held from 3 to 6 June 2026 in St. Petersburg.

The meeting was attended by representatives of federal and regional government authorities, development institutions, public and business associations, as well as the expert community.

The key issues of preparation for SPIEF 2026, the structure of the Forum's business program, as well as priority areas for its development, taking into account the current international and economic agenda, were considered.

"The SPIEF 2026 agenda is being shaped in the context of profound changes in the global economy. Today we are witnessing a transformation of the established mechanisms of international cooperation and an increasing demand for new formats of cooperation. In this situation, an equal and pragmatic dialogue based on mutual respect for the interests of countries and peoples is of particular value. The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum remains a platform where discussion of common values and practical economic tasks allows us to develop solutions that are in demand in the emerging multipolar world," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee.

Special attention was paid to the formation of the humanitarian and youth components of the Forum, as well as the development of human resources and support for initiatives focused on the future of the country.

"The annual International Youth Forum, which is held under the motto "Day of the Future", will become an integral part of the SPIEF 2026 program. This event reflects Russia's strategic development priorities for the coming years – shaping the future of the country and society through the support of youth, the activities of young scientists, specialists and entrepreneurs," emphasized Anton Kobyakov.

A separate area of discussion was the issues of international promotion and participation in SPIEF 2026. It was noted that a comprehensive program for the presentation of the Forum abroad is being implemented: during the visiting sessions of the SPIEF and international business forums, meetings are organized with representatives of the business community and issues relevant to many countries are discussed, the answers to which participants will be able to receive directly at the Forum site in St. Petersburg.

To ensure broad international participation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation was instructed to simplify the procedure for obtaining Russian visas for Forum participants, as well as to facilitate the involvement of officials and representatives of business circles from foreign countries.

"The government of St. Petersburg is systematically preparing the urban infrastructure for the SPIEF 2026. We are talking about the development of transport and engineering infrastructure, ensuring public and medical safety, organizing the work of city services around the clock, as well as informing residents and businesses about possible changes during the Forum. All events are being implemented as planned and taking into account the prospective development of the city's convention and exhibition infrastructure," reported Valery Moskalenko, Vice Governor of St. Petersburg and Head of the Governor's office.

Initiatives to support domestic entrepreneurship and develop national brands as an important element of the Forum's economic agenda have also been identified among the priorities for the preparation of SPIEF 2026.

In particular, attention was paid to the "Buy Russian!" site, a space for national brands created by the Roscongress Foundation in collaboration with VEB.The Russian Federation and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote Russian Business. The platform brought together several areas at once, with the 12 winning brands of the "Know Our People" competition in the center of attention. In 2026, the site will be presented for the second time.

The "Choose your own" project, aimed at supporting domestic producers, will also continue to develop. Its implementation is carried out within the framework of a cooperation agreement between the Roscongress Foundation and the All-Russian Political Party United Russia. The document was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2025 and is aimed at contributing to the achievement of technological, human and intellectual sovereignty of the Russian Federation, as well as at promoting ideas of new industrialization through the largest federal and international platforms.

The cultural program of the Forum traditionally remains an important part of its concept. The Petersburg Seasons Cultural Festival, organized jointly with the Government of St. Petersburg and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, will be held as part of SPIEF 2026.
