Air defense systems destroyed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flying to Moscow. This was announced on December 16 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"The air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense destroyed a UAV flying to Moscow. Emergency services specialists are working at the crash site," he said in a statement on Twitter.
