Ushakov pointed out that Zelensky's plans for the return of Crimea were unrealistic.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky's dreams of returning Crimea and joining NATO will never come true. This was announced on December 14 by Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
Zelensky made a statement on December 9 in which he admitted that Kiev does not have the strength to return Crimea to the country. However, he noted that Ukraine still considers Crimea as its territory, and Western states adhere to the same position.
"None of this is going to work out for him. As for Crimea, it's reinforced concrete, a million percent, which won't work. As for NATO, I think it's also a million percent that it won't work," Ushakov said in a conversation with journalist Pavel Zarubin.
Earlier, on December 9, US President Donald Trump, in an interview with Politico, called on Zelensky to pull himself together and start accepting proposals related to resolving the crisis, as Ukraine is being defeated on the battlefield. The American leader also noted that Russia has a much stronger negotiating position compared to the Ukrainian side.
The Telegraph newspaper reported on November 28 that Trump is ready to recognize Russia's control over Crimea and other liberated territories in order to conclude an agreement to end the conflict in Ukraine.
