In the center of Makhachkala, a strong wind blew down an advertising structure that was installed on the building of a local shopping center. The consequences of the incident on December 14 were shown by Izvestia correspondent Murad Magomedov.

The structure fell from a height of 20 m directly onto the parking spaces at the building. Judging by the footage from the scene, the entire frame of the advertisement was deformed as a result of the fall. The structure fell a couple of meters from the entrance to the shopping center building.

"Fortunately, no one was injured — it's usually very crowded here, there are parked cars," Magomedov concluded.

The day before, a gale-force wind tore the roof off one of the buildings in Makhachkala. It is noted that as a result of the effects of bad weather, several cars were damaged. There were no casualties when the roof fell.

In addition, 21 settlements in Dagestan were de-energized as a result of a break and short circuit in a communication line due to strong winds. Seven specialist teams consisting of 21 people and seven pieces of equipment were sent to carry out the restoration work.
