Traffic restrictions have been extended on two sections of highways in the Magadan region due to adverse weather conditions. This was announced on December 14 at the regional Ministry of Road Management and Transport.

"Due to adverse weather conditions, traffic restrictions on sections of highways have been extended," the Telegram channel said.

It is specified that the restriction applies to the following sections: Gerba — Omsukchan, 206 km — 224 km, until 14:00 on December 15, and Magadan — Balagannoye — Talon, 18 km — 24 km, until 18:00 on December 14.

Earlier, on October 13, it was reported that a cyclone was approaching three regions of the Russian Federation — the Magadan Region, Chukotka and Kamchatka, which would lead to snowstorms and hurricane—force winds. It was noted that cyclones in the western Pacific Ocean are traditionally very active in autumn.
