Six boilers at CHPP-9 in Angarsk have started work

Six boilers are operating at CHPP-9 in Angarsk, where the accident occurred earlier. The seventh is in the process of kindling. This was announced on December 13 by the mayor of the city Sergey Petrov in his Telegram channel.

According to him, all socially significant facilities continue to operate normally, and the parameters of the coolant in the networks are 110 degrees.

"CHPP-10 operates in an operational mode. There are six boilers in operation at CHPP-9. Another boiler is being kindled," Petrov said.

He added that there had been no accidents at the facilities, no complaints had been received from residents, and the power supply networks were operating normally.

Earlier, on December 7, the mayor of Angarsk announced the introduction of a high-alert regime due to the accident at CHP-9. On the same day, Irkutsk Region Governor Igor Kobzev noted that emergency crews had begun commissioning a backup boiler to stabilize the situation in more than 1.5 thousand homes.

On December 10, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Irkutsk region announced the initiation of a criminal case on the grounds of a crime related to the provision of services that do not meet security requirements.
