On December 12, the Russian Academy of Arts summed up the results of the All-Russian action "Portrait of a Hero" for the Heroes of the Fatherland Day, in which images of military personnel created by children were presented.

This year, 18,000 participants took part in the campaign, and it is also part of the Cybermen project.

"Today is the time, as President [of Russia Vladimir Putin] instructed, to perpetuate the memory of our heroes using all available methods and tools: through art, through the immersion of our children, teenagers, and the younger generation, through such a dialogue, this is the ideal format," said State Duma Deputy Maria Vasilkova.

The essence of the action was that the children first listened to the story of the participant in the special operation, and then drew his portrait, which direct and frank communication helps to better foster a sense of pride in the country and respect for its heroes.

Putin said on November 5 that patriotism means fostering an understanding that the preservation of a common Homeland meets the fundamental interests of every nation in Russia. The Russian leader noted that patriotism will be able to replace the ideologized formula "the new community is the Soviet people," which was previously invented in the USSR.
