The head of the Ukrainian negotiating delegation and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, held several secret meetings with the head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Kash Patel, and his deputy, Dan Bongino. This was reported on December 12 by The Washington Post (WP).
It is noted that the meetings caused alarm among Western officials.
