Alexander Butyagin, a Russian archaeologist and employee of the Hermitage Museum, was detained on the basis of Kiev's request for international legal assistance in the case of allegedly illegal archaeological excavations in 2014-2019. This was reported to Izvestia on December 12 by the press service of the Polish Internal Security Agency (ABW).
