According to the ChitaMedia news agency, six cases were recorded in Chita, one in Chita district, two each in Kalgan and Aginsky districts. The risk of infection is associated with the consumption of meat and dairy products, as well as contact with infected animals.
Currently, quarantine is in effect in Zabaikalsky, Borzinsky, Kyrinsky, Kalgansky, Priargunsky and Krasnokamensk districts. Restrictive measures are related to animal diseases.
Experts note that in most cases, patients with brucellosis develop a chronic form of infection that is difficult to cure. Brucella affects various organs and tissues, causing a wide range of symptoms, including severe eye and nervous system diseases.
