Russians continue to plan winter holidays abroad, and demand for popular destinations remains high. On December 17, OneTwoTrip service told Izvestia how much a vacation from Moscow will cost during this period.

Phuket remains a classic winter destination. People go to the island for beach holidays, yoga, diving, excursions and ideal January weather: sun, calm sea and about +30 degrees. A flight on New Year's Eve will cost at least 84 thousand rubles, but on January 7 and 9 you can fly for 50 thousand rubles. Accommodation in three-star hotels is available from 4.5 thousand rubles per night.

For those who prefer city walks, Istanbul is the best choice. There are fewer tourists in winter, the cost of accommodation is lower, and the weather allows you to explore the city comfortably.

"You can arrange quite a budget trip to Istanbul if you go on December 29, when prices start from 25 thousand rubles (from Moscow and back). And if you can extend the holidays, then there are excellent options for 22 thousand rubles on January 8, 9 and 10. A room in a three—star hotel with high guest ratings will cost an average of 5.5 thousand rubles per day," OneTwoTrip analysts noted.

Rome in early January is pleased with the lack of queues at museums and the mild climate. Departure on December 29 can be found for 70 thousand rubles, on January 1 — for 67 thousand rubles, and on January 8-9 — for 54 thousand rubles. Housing near the center costs about 10 thousand rubles per day.

Paris is much more accessible in winter than the ski resorts of France. There is no high tourist season, and visiting museums is becoming more comfortable. A flight on December 29 will cost from 63 thousand rubles, while tickets at the end of the holidays cost about 50 thousand rubles. Accommodation in a three—star hotel costs about 11 thousand rubles per day.

For those who prefer a warm climate and large-scale holiday shows, analysts recommend Dubai. New Year's Eve fireworks and the Dubai Shopping Festival are held here, which lasts until January 11. Tickets at the end of December start from 31 thousand rubles, after January 8 — from 21 thousand rubles. Three—star hotels - about 9 thousand rubles per night.

According to the online booking service Ostrovok dated December 4, Russian tourists increasingly prefer to celebrate the New Year in nature, choosing active recreation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In 2025, one in ten bookings are for nature destinations, reflecting the growing interest in hiking and scenic walks. Kamchatka is particularly popular with travelers, where interest in New Year's tours has grown by almost a third compared to last year.
