- The call center of the Popular Front for the preparation of a direct line told about their work
The call center for the preparation of the direct line of the program "Results of the Year with Russian President Vladimir Putin", where calls from Russians are received by representatives of the Popular Front, has already recorded almost a million calls from citizens of the country. The staff of the center's work is published by Izvestia on December 11.
"The atmosphere in the call center is calm, at first glance you wouldn't say that hundreds of thousands of questions to the president are processed here every day, and the total number of all appeals is already approaching one million," said Leonid Klimenchuk, a correspondent for Izvestia.
According to Yulia Belekhova, head of the Committee of Families and Soldiers of the Fatherland, thanks to the work of the call center, citizens can be guaranteed to exercise their legally prescribed rights.
She said that a call had just been received from a resident of the Moscow region, who asked for help in obtaining Russian citizenship for her children. According to the woman, her husband, a participant in a special military operation (SVO), has already received a Russian passport according to a simplified scheme, as expected. However, their children have not yet acquired a similar document.
"Now we have accepted the call and will process it in order to help Natalia exercise her right under the simplified citizenship system. <...> The participants of the SVO who came from another country to defend the Russian Federation have [such] right, since there are laws for this, but we need to look at how it is implemented on earth. The hotline helps us with this because we can view this route and understand where it doesn't work," Belekhova said.
On December 8, Diana Zlobina, an expert on artificial intelligence (AI), told Izvestia that AI helps in collecting and processing citizens' requests for a direct line. In particular, the tasks of GigaChat include determining the gender of the participants, their age and the subject of its treatment. According to the expert, since the collection of applications, more than 414 thousand applications have already been received from citizens, among them about 66% from women and 34% from men.
The Kremlin's press service announced on December 4 that a combined direct line and a press conference by the President of Russia would be held on December 19 at 12:00 Moscow time.
