Doctors at the S. S. Yudin City Clinical Hospital in Moscow removed a woman's ovarian tumor weighing more than 30 kg. This was announced on December 10 by the metropolitan Department of Health.

"A comprehensive examination revealed critical changes in the body. The circumference of the patient's abdomen reached 155 cm due to a neoplasm that occupied the entire abdominal cavity," the department's Telegram channel says.

It is noted that the woman has not visited a gynecologist for more than 15 years and was admitted to the hospital with painful symptoms, shortness of breath and a progressive increase in abdominal volume.

The education provoked critical changes in the woman's body: chest deformity, compression of internal organs, and a drop to 75-80% of blood oxygen saturation.

First, the doctors stabilized the patient's condition and only then began surgery, during which a mucocystic tumor, a uterus with appendages were removed, a resection of the omentum and a biopsy of the peritoneum were performed.

At the moment, the woman has been discharged from the hospital and is undergoing postoperative recovery.

On September 22, surgeons at the Kirov Regional Clinical Hospital performed a successful operation on a 65-year-old man to remove a neck tumor, a lipoma the size of his head. It was clarified that the lipoma became the largest fatty structure of this localization, which was removed in the surgical department of the Kirov hospital.
