New traffic cameras have started operating in Moscow, which record cars that interfere with other road users by stopping. As reported on December 10 at the Traffic Management Center (TSODD).

The complexes are installed on the understudy of Marshal Zhukov Avenue near the public services center of Khoroshevo-Mnevniki district. According to the data center, cameras record cases when cars block the exit from the parking lot, block pedestrian routes or otherwise interfere with traffic.

"There may not be a prohibition sign or markings in this case. Violators face a fine of 3 thousand rubles under Part 4 of Article 12.19 of the Administrative Code," the source quoted by Kommersant said.

The system uses artificial intelligence technologies. The algorithm analyzes the data stream from the cameras and identifies the cars that are allegedly violating the rules. Next, the materials are manually checked by a data center specialist, who confirms that the shutdown was not forced. After that, the information is sent to the traffic police, where a final check is carried out and a resolution is issued.

Earlier, on December 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to think about the targeted allocation of funds from fines for the renovation of public transport during a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects. In turn, the head of the Republic of Buryatia, Alexei Tsydenov, asked the Russian leader to send instructions on working out the target direction of funds received from fines for traffic violations for the renovation of public transport.
