Liverpool players beat Inter in the Champions League match
English football club Liverpool FC defeated Inter Milan in the 6th round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League with a score of 1:0. The match was held in Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium. The Champions League is the main annual European club football tournament, in which the best teams from European countries participate.
In the 32nd minute, the visitors scored from a corner, but the video referee assistance system (VAR) canceled the goal due to the fact that the ball hit the player's hand. At the end of the second half, a penalty was awarded to Inter, which was implemented by Soboslai, Sport-Express reported.
After this victory, Liverpool scored 12 points and moved up to 8th place in the group standings, while Inter remained in 5th position with the same number of points.
In the next round, Inter will face English club Arsenal on December 20, while Liverpool will play French side Marseille on December 21.
Earlier, on October 9, it was reported that Liverpool player Mohamed Salah was not included in the squad for the next match against Inter in the Champions League. This is evidenced by the list of players. The application included 19 players, including goalkeeper Alisson Becker, central defender Virgil Van Dijk, midfielder Dominique Soboslai and striker Hugo Ekitike.
