- The musician Gachnik announced the cancellation of concerts in the West after starting work in the Russian Federation
Slovenian musician Sasho Gachnik announced on December 9 the cancellation of his concerts in Europe after starting work with Russia in the framework of the project "For the sake of life on Earth."
"Of course, I was left without any [events], there were more concerts before that, because even if people support my ideas, many of them are simply afraid to be left without funding, or so that it doesn't spoil their reputation," TASS quotes Gachnik.
He added that he was not afraid of possible sanctions from the West and intended to continue his activities. According to the musician, the project "For the Sake of life on Earth" is intended to become a tool for mutual understanding between the Russian and Western world.
On November 19, the performance of the famous pianist Elizabeth Leonskaya, which was scheduled to take place on December 4 in the concert hall of the Dutch city of Eindhoven, was canceled. It is clarified that the reason for the cancellation was the pianist's performance with a free concert for military personnel in Moscow, which was interpreted as Russia's support in the conflict in Ukraine. Another reason was Leonskaya's Russian origin, despite her Austrian citizenship.
