Krasnopresnensky overpass repaired in Moscow
Specialists of the municipal management complex have completed major repairs of the Krasnopresnensky (Vagankovsky) overpass in Moscow. This was announced on Tuesday, December 9, by the Deputy Mayor of the capital for Housing and Communal Services and landscaping, Peter Biryukov.
He said that the facility, built more than 60 years ago and passing over the tracks of the Smolensk branch of the Moscow Railway, needed a major upgrade due to corrosion of fittings, broken waterproofing and damaged expansion joints. All work has been completed, and traffic on the overpass has already been opened, the Moscow City News Agency reports.
According to him, special auxiliary structures were used for safety, which supported the structure during the repair. As part of the project, reinforced concrete beams and expansion joints were replaced, the pillars were rebuilt, the supporting parts were updated and the abutments were repaired. The scaffolding size was increased by almost half a meter. Asphalt on the roadway and sidewalks was also updated, energy-efficient lighting was installed, staircases, fences were replaced and granite cladding was completed, Regnum news agency notes.
Biryukov recalled that over the past 13 years, all bridge structures have been repaired in Moscow, which has made it possible to extend their service life and improve traffic conditions for motorists and pedestrians. kp.ru .
