The UK has imposed sanctions against five organizations and two individuals of the Russian Federation.

The UK authorities have introduced a new package of anti-Russian sanctions, imposing restrictions on five organizations and two individuals. This was announced on December 9 on the website of the British Ministry of Finance.

The list includes, in particular, one foundation and media projects in Russian. Restrictive measures for people include a ban on entry to the United Kingdom, as well as the freezing of financial assets if they are found.

Prior to that, on December 4, the British authorities expanded the sanctions list against Russia, adding 12 more positions to it. The list includes 11 individuals and one organization. This time, restrictions were imposed on the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (GRU). The list also includes three employees of the department and eight more Russians.

Last time, on October 15, the UK imposed sanctions on five individuals and 35 organizations as part of anti-Russian restrictions. In particular, oil companies, as well as Russian credit organizations, were sanctioned.
