Navrotsky refused to go to Ukraine at Zelensky's invitation.
Polish President Karol Nawrocki has no plans to visit Ukraine at the invitation of President Volodymyr Zelensky. This was announced on December 9 by Marcin Przydacz, head of the Bureau of International Policy of the Office of the President of Poland, on the social network X (former. Twitter).
At the same time, he noted that the possibility of a meeting between the two leaders in Warsaw is currently being explored.
"We are glad that relations with Poland are important for the President of Ukraine. Good neighborly relations with Ukraine based on mutual respect are also important for us. We are working on the date of the presidents' meeting in Warsaw through open and active diplomatic contacts," said Przydacz.
Navrotsky said yesterday that Zelensky should show gratitude to the Poles for helping Ukraine. He added that he consistently "strives for symmetry" in relations between the two countries. In addition, he expressed hope for Zelensky's visit to Warsaw, during which they will discuss the issue of mutual relations between the countries.
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said on December 5 that Zelensky should have independently requested the possibility of official talks with Navrotsky. At the same time, the head of the department criticized the Polish leader himself because of his insistence on the Ukrainian authorities to show gratitude for the assistance already provided.
