The hatches between the household compartment of the Soyuz MS-27 spacecraft and the International Space Station (ISS) have been closed as the spacecraft prepares to undock and return to Earth with the crew on board. This was announced on December 9 by Roscosmos Corporation in the Telegram channel.

"The hatches between the household compartment of the Soyuz MS-27 spacecraft and the ISS are closed. Sergey Ryzhikov, Alexey Zubritsky and Jonathan Kim are returning to Earth," the statement said.

It is noted that the next stage — undocking from the Berth module — is scheduled for 04:41 Moscow time.

On November 27, Roscosmos announced the successful launch of the Soyuz-2.1a rocket. The flight was carried out in normal mode, the device successfully docked to the ISS. After an inspection of the rocket launch site at the Baikonur cosmodrome, damage to some elements of the launch pad was revealed.

Earlier, on November 27, the Soyuz-2.1a rocket with the Soyuz MS-28 manned spacecraft also launched from Baikonur. On the same day, the spacecraft docked to the ISS.
