Kamchatka Governor switched institutions to remote mode due to bad weather
The Kamchatka Territory is again faced with adverse weather conditions. The work of government agencies and organizations, with the exception of life-support services, has been switched to a remote mode. This was announced on December 8 by Governor Vladimir Solodov in his Telegram channel.
"I strongly recommend that commercial enterprises and organizations of all forms of ownership also transfer employees to remote work," Solodov emphasized.
He also urged citizens not to use personal cars unnecessarily, so as not to interfere with the work of snow removal equipment.
Earlier, on December 4, it was reported that three aftershocks of magnitude from 4.1 to 5.0 were recorded off the coast of Kamchatka during the day. The tremors were not felt in populated areas, but the Ministry of Emergency Situations warned of continued increased volcanic activity.
