Every student should know how good they are in a particular subject, so canceling grades in art, music, and physical education is unacceptable. Anatoly Wasserman, a member of the State Duma Committee on Education, expressed this opinion on Monday, December 8.

"It is clear that grades in, say, physical education will not be considered for admission. But in any case, every student should know how good they are, what they do and what they don't do well," Wasserman said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

The deputy noted that if it comes to considering this issue in the State Duma Committee on Education, he will definitely be against the abolition of grades in these subjects, writes Life.Ru .

On November 3, Olga Yaroslavskaya, the Commissioner for Children's Rights in Moscow, proposed reducing the duration of summer holidays to two months. It was clarified that she took the initiative to make June an academic month, devoting it to creative disciplines: drawing, music, physical education.

She suggested making June an academic month when children could study creative subjects, such as drawing, music, and physical education.

Oleg Smolin, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education (KPRF), did not support the proposal to reduce school summer holidays, NSN reports. He noted that the initiative to introduce an additional academic month filled with music, physical education and creativity is contrary to common sense, since children are so tired of the learning process. 360.ru .
