Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed out that 19 national projects have been successfully launched.

"As part of the work to achieve the national development goals, 121 indicators have been outlined, of which, unfortunately, 7 currently have a high risk of non-fulfillment, but still most of the targets for the current year have been achieved," he said.

Among them, the president highlighted plans to relocate citizens from dilapidated housing, the growth of agro-industrial production, an increase in the share of creative industries, progress in the development of domestic technologies in the fuel and energy sector and the peaceful atom. In addition, the waste management industry and the formation of a closed-loop economy are developing at a good pace.

The Russian President also noted that citizens' assessments had increased in such areas as the condition of roads, conditions for domestic tourism, the quality of secondary vocational and higher education, the provision of public services in electronic form and landscaping.

He pointed out that 42% of residents of megacities and small towns noted an improvement in the urban environment, which is 5% more than a year earlier.

However, according to citizens, changes in the housing and communal services sector and the creation of a barrier-free environment are not yet so noticeable, Vladimir Putin said. He also appealed to the Government to accelerate the development of a comprehensive program for the development of stronghold settlements and approve it as soon as possible.

About demographics and benefits for families

The measures already taken in the demographic sphere in Russia are not enough, Putin said. He also recalled the benefits for families with children and spoke about those that are planned. So, in 2026, families with low incomes and two or more children will be able to receive family payments. From January 1, the amount that an employer can pay to employees at the birth of a child will increase, and which will not be subject to personal income tax and insurance premiums. It will amount to 1 million rubles, and now it is 50 thousand rubles.

"Of course, external challenges also have an impact on demography. At the same time, I would like to emphasize once again that our long-term historical task is to preserve and multiply our people. And despite the current situation and objective difficulties, we must maintain this benchmark. Increasing the birth rate, supporting families with children, and increasing the healthy life expectancy of citizens are all key areas of our joint efforts," Putin said.

"All national projects should directly or indirectly influence the solution of demographic development problems," the head of state said.

He also suggested thinking about measures to support involved fatherhood in Russia. The family, the President recalled, is based on mutual respect, on the participation of both parents in the upbringing of children.

"In general, the sociological indicator for assessing readiness to have children has improved across the country. The strongest are in the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, the republics of Mordovia, Altai, Kabardino—Balkaria," Putin added.

About the Russian economy and business

The President pointed out that in 2025, Russia's GDP will be about 1%, and inflation will be about 6% or lower. He drew attention to the fact that it is time to increase economic dynamics.

"I believe that conditions and opportunities have been created now to gradually increase economic dynamics. At the same time, low unemployment should be maintained and, of course, moderate inflation, which, according to the Central Bank's forecast, should reach 4-5% next year," Putin stressed.

According to him, the government has prepared a plan for structural changes in the economy until 2030, and it is necessary to "start implementing it immediately in order to formulate a platform at the end of next year to achieve a growth rate of the domestic economy at least global."

Putin emphasized that the government and the regions face the task of whitewashing the economy in 2026.

"Entrepreneurs and companies that conduct their business decently and in good faith should receive new opportunities for development and direct, tangible benefits from whitewashing the market," the president added.

The Russian President also instructed businesses to be more actively involved in productivity improvement projects from industries where employment is high and labor productivity has large reserves for growth.
