In November, 1,602 new electric vehicles were sold in Russia, which is 57% more than at the end of last autumn. The market for new electric cars in our country has been growing for the second month in a row, the analytical agency Autostat reported on December 8.

The domestic brand "Amberauto" retained its leadership in terms of sales volume with 404 cars sold. On the second line is another brand — Evolute (222 units), followed by Zeekr (196 units), Xiaomi (172 units) and BYD (154 units).

Analysts noted that according to the results of 11 months, sales of new electric vehicles in the Russian Federation are still "in the red." From January to November, sales amounted to 11.2 thousand copies, which is 31% less than in the same period last year.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Russia had proposed to expand benefits for buyers of electric vehicles and provide preferential conditions for the production of affordable models and their components. The initiative was launched by the Center for Strategic Research (CSR).
