In the future, Russia and the United States will be able to restore bilateral relations and bring them out of crisis while eliminating irritants. This was announced on December 8 at a briefing by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"And we understand that by eliminating the irritants that exist now in the bilateral plan, we can thus open up the prospect of restoring our relations and bringing them out of a deep crisis," he said at a briefing.
