VKKS allowed to open a case against a retired judge of the Rostov court

The Higher Qualification Board of Judges (HCCC) has authorized the initiation of a criminal case against Oleg Batalshchikov, a retired judge of the Sovetsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don. This was reported on December 8 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

In the submission of the chairman of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, it is indicated that the Battalion is suspected of two episodes of receiving a bribe.

Earlier that day, the HCCC also agreed to initiate criminal proceedings against Elena Kobleva, former chairman of the Sovetsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don. The investigation intends to charge her with seven counts of receiving large—scale bribes and one of especially large-scale bribes.
