The military of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation spoke about the help of motorized vehicles in clearing the strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Motorcycle assault groups on quad bikes of the 139th regiment of the 29th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces have cleared out the strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) equipped in the forest belts of the Dnipropetrovsk region. This was announced on December 8 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the defense Ministry, motorcycle groups enter the forest covertly, through forest belts not occupied by the enemy, move for short distances and stop in shelters to assess the situation.

"It's raining, foggy, and very muddy right now — it's not always possible to ride motorcycles, so we take ATVs. <...> We're starting to roll in. Then, when everything has gone down, commands are given — we begin to clear the settlement," the platoon commander with the call sign Kalash tells about his work.

Thanks to the coordinated, fast and precise work of the motorized rifle groups, the enemy was forced to withdraw from their positions.

"The worse the weather, the easier it is for us to enter: fewer "birds" are flying, there are fewer enemies, and there is less vigilance. <...> We still leave the equipment at some distance - there remains a kilometer and a half. The equipment was disguised, then on foot, by stealthy movement: we don't go in large groups, we try to have two or three people," the platoon commander with the call sign Boomer notes the key features.

The destruction of enemy strongholds gave the stormtroopers the opportunity to gain a foothold in the area, establish control and provide conditions for further advancement.

The encircled militants are being attacked by a brigade that Ukrainian propaganda has declared destroyed several times.

On December 7, the Ministry of Defense provided footage of sniper units of the 25th Combined Arms Army of the Zapad group of forces practicing methods of camouflaging positions to counter the reconnaissance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) equipped with thermal imaging optics in the special military operation zone in the Krasnolimansk area. In modern conditions, the main task for a sniper is the ability to remain undetected by a UAV for many hours.
