A rally against Arabization and illegal migrants is taking place in Georgian Tbilisi — people have gathered from all over the country to protest. The corresponding footage is published by Izvestia on December 7.

"We noticed a lot of police officers and various special services on the perimeter, but the action is taking place in a calm mode," correspondent Giorgi Jabishvili said.

The demonstration is taking place near the office of the Eagle Hills company from the UAE, which is engaged in the construction of housing and infrastructure facilities in Georgia.

Zurab Makharadze, one of the leaders of the Conservatives for Georgia party, told Izvestia that the protesters were demanding that mass migration to Georgia be limited and that contracts under which Arab investors, in conjunction with the Georgian government, want to build two cities be reviewed.

"The conservative part of the Georgian public thinks that migration, which has become a huge problem in Europe, is also taking on rather dangerous features in Georgia," Makharadze stressed.

On November 27, opposition representatives held mass protests in Tbilisi. Under the flags of the European Union (EU), the protesters tried to force the resignation of the government.
