Accidents on heating systems started again in Bodaibo
After the boiler launch in Bodaibo (Irkutsk region) accidents on heating systems started again. This was announced on Thursday, February 5, by the mayor of the city and the district Evgeny Yumashev.
"Three houses were connected on Sadovaya Street, but at night, during the thawing process, the heating main ruptured. In order to eliminate it, the boiler room had to be temporarily shut down. Specialized teams are currently working on site (...). New shut-off valves are being installed. Today we plan to launch this site and connect four houses," the mayor said in a statement posted on the Bodaibo administration's VKontakte page.
He also noted that the boiler room of the Bridge Squad is operating in hot mode, and the boiler room MK-135 is preparing for launch.
"The work is going on around the clock, but it is associated with such emergency situations. Each new gap is a forced pause and a new complex repair," Yumashev emphasized.
The Mayor of Bodaibo also expressed regret over the lack of responses to his request to provide temporary housing for representatives of the most vulnerable categories of citizens - families with disabled children and single elderly people.
"Dear fellow countrymen, please think about it and see what you can do. Do you have an empty room, an apartment with relatives, or just the opportunity to make room for a few days? Our municipal housing stock is exhausted, we are settling people even in unsuitable premises, but this is catastrophically insufficient," he concluded.
On January 30, more than 1.3 thousand people were left without water supply and heat in Bodaibo. The accident affected 1.3 thousand people living in 141 houses. Secondary school No. 3 and a special correctional school also found themselves without heat and water. A local emergency regime has been introduced on the territory of houses that were left without heating.
