42 participants of the 2026 FIFA World Cup have been identified

42 of the 48 national teams that will participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico, have become known. The draw took place on December 5 in Washington.

From Europe, through the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), the national teams of Germany, Switzerland, Scotland, France, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Austria, Norway, Belgium, England and Croatia qualified for the tournament.

In Asia, Iran, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Jordan, Japan, Australia, Qatar and Saudi Arabia will participate in the World Cup from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Egypt, Senegal, the Republic of South Africa, Cape Verde, Morocco, Côte d'Ivoire, Algeria, Tunisia and Ghana have won tickets from the African Football Confederation (CAF).

In South America, from CONMEBOL, Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, Uruguay, Brazil and Paraguay participated in the World Cup.

In addition to the host countries, CONCACAF (the Confederation of Football of North and Central America and the Caribbean) will be represented by Panama, Haiti and Curaçao. The New Zealand national team qualified from the Oceania Zone (OFC).

The six remaining tickets will be played in the play-off matches. Teams from Slovakia, Kosovo, Denmark, Ukraine, Turkey, Ireland, Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Wales, Albania, the Czech Republic, Romania, Sweden, Northern Ireland and Northern Macedonia will compete for four tickets in the UEFA zone. The teams of Bolivia, DR Congo, Iraq, Jamaica, New Caledonia and Suriname will compete for two places in the intercontinental matches.
