The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has issued warnings to the main operators of Sochi, Kaliningrad and Yekaterinburg airports. This was announced on December 5 by the press service of the antimonopoly authority.

"Sochi International Airport JSC, Khrabrovo Airport JSC and Koltsovo Airport JSC charged airlines a separate fee for using the public access platform for passenger registration," the agency said in a statement.

The service stressed that the cost of passenger check-in should be included in the basic state-regulated service tariff, rather than being allocated as a separate fee. According to the FAS, this practice contains signs of imposing unfavorable conditions on airlines. It is noted that this position is supported by the Ministry of Transport of Russia.

If the operators do not cancel the additional tariff, a case of violation of the antimonopoly legislation will be initiated against them. The Agency will also continue to analyze the actions of other airports in terms of providing access to check-in platforms.

On July 21, it was reported that the Federal Antimonopoly Service instructed Moscow airports to strengthen control over pricing of food products, including water. In addition, the agency reported on the analysis of airport pricing in 28 regions of Russia. Their passenger traffic, the press service of the service noted, exceeds 1 million people per year.
