The German magazine Spiegel on Thursday, December 4, published a transcript of a secret telephone conversation between the leaders of the European Union (EU) and President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky about distrust of the United States.

"German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and French President Emmanuel Macron, in a confidential telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and a number of other European leaders, sharply warned that the United States could betray Ukraine and Europe," the publication says.

According to the French president, there is allegedly "a great danger" for Zelensky. In addition, Merz also urged him to be "extremely careful."
