Roskomnadzor has restricted access to the American Internet service Roblox in connection with the revealed facts of mass and repeated distribution of materials with propaganda and justification of extremist and terrorist activities, calls to commit illegal acts of a violent nature, as well as propaganda of LGBT topics (the LGBT movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). "Roblox monitoring has repeatedly confirmed the inability of the internal moderation system to ensure the absolute security of materials appearing on the platform," the statement said.

It clarifies that the service contained a large amount of inappropriate content that could negatively affect the spiritual and moral development of children and lead to their committing illegal acts. The RCN emphasized that such actions are repeatedly committed in the game, in particular, committing acts of a terrorist nature and participating in gambling.

"Children in the game are sexually harassed, intimate photos are lured out of them, they are inclined to lewd acts and violence – after all, Roblox is popular with pedophiles who get to know minors directly in the game's chat rooms, and then move into real life," Roskomnadzor noted.

The federal agency added that it had repeatedly appealed to the administration of the service over the course of the current year with a request to restrict access to prohibited materials.
