PSB thinks about supporting private space projects
The PSB Group, together with the National Technology Initiative, is considering the possibility of supporting projects in the field of private space exploration. Vera Podguzova, Senior Vice President and Director of External Relations at the PSB, told about this during the congress "Innovative Practice: Science plus Business".
Speaking at the session "Synergy for Space: New models of interaction between Russian business, government and the BRICS+ countries," she noted that "the space industry opens up a large space for commercial activities." Vera Podguzova called the production of satellites and services related to remote sensing of the Earth and data transmission, as well as the production of launch vehicles, the most promising niches from a business point of view.
According to her, together with Innopraktika, the PSB is opening a Support Center for high-tech companies "with an eye to space activities." The goal is to provide assistance to small and medium—sized enterprises in need of investments, partners and consulting services.
"From the point of view of financial instruments that allow the development of space projects, we can single out a public-private partnership mechanism and an IPO. By supporting national champions of high technology, PSB Bank helps to increase the attractiveness of the Russian space industry for businesses and investors," added the Senior Vice President of the bank.
